Laufey is the stage name of Laufey LΓn Bing JΓ³nsdΓ³ttir, an Icelandic singer, songwriter, and musician who blends jazz pop, classical, and bossa nova. Raised in a classical music family, she started performing as a cello soloist with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra at age 15. Laufey aims to introduce and reframe classical and jazz music for Gen Z, believing that new life is needed for these art forms to survive.
