General Availability of Mobile Platform Support Arrives in Discord Social SDK Version 1.10

The future of mobile gaming is about helping players connect, return, and play together. With mobile support now generally available in the Discord Social SDK, developers can extend Discord's social experiences to iOS and Android to drive retention, engagement, and growth.

We've worked closely with launch partners to stress-test the SDK against real player behavior on iOS and Android, refining key features to meet the demands of smaller screens and on-the-go play. The result is a fast, low-friction, and deeply social mobile experience, built for how players actually play. Read on to learn about what's new in Social SDK version 1.10 and see how studios like Tencent, Scopely, and Ninja Kiwi are already putting these updates to work.

Mobile Updates: Made to Move

The Discord Social SDK already supports both iOS and Android platforms, bringing the same opportunities for extending reach and playtimes through account linking to mobile games.

The Social SDK is available for projects running C++, Unreal Engine, and Unity, on both Android (7.0+) and iOS (15.1+).

However, we’re still improving the experience on small screens. Since launching the Discord Social SDK, we’ve improved  core features so your integration is just as powerful in your player’s pocket as it is on their desktop:

  • Rich Presence: Android games now have multiple ways to share live Rich Presence. Whether through account linking or Remote Procedure Call, you can help drive greater visibility and discovery for your game, while enabling more seamless social sharing for your players. Learn more about Rich Presence for Android.
  • Account Linking: We added deeplink support to our account linking flow, reducing friction and making the mobile experience faster. Now, mobile games can take full advantage of the opportunity to drive retention and engagement from players who choose to connect their Discord accounts. Learn more about Account Linking for mobile.
  • Mobile support for Discord Social Commerce: Commerce is also expanding to mobile, giving developers another reason to integrate Discord's mobile SDK. As Commerce rolls out, developers can reach new audiences by selling in-game items directly through Discord not just to existing players, but to friends and potential new customers. Early results from the Marvel Rivals pilot highlight the opportunity: 41% of purchases were gifts, and 25% of gift buyers were lapsed or entirely new players*, showcasing how Discord's social connections can drive player acquisition alongside monetization. Mobile Partnerships: Driving Innovation

We’ve evolved the Discord Social SDK alongside early partners, who helped us ensure the solution was ideal for mobile games and players. Early collaboration with key studios like Tencent, Scopely, and Ninja Kiwi, representing some of the best that mobile gaming has to offer, helped fine tune the SDK while driving real results.

Tencent | Arena Breakout

Arena Breakout, a hardcore mobile tactical shooter marking its third anniversary, integrated Discord's Social SDK to solve fragmented cross-platform friend networks and squad-formation friction. Tencent's publishing team wanted social connections—rather than paid acquisition—to drive retention and organic growth.

Two features anchored the integration: the Unified Friends List, which merged players' scattered friends lists into one layer, and Game Invites, which sped up squad assembly. The Arena Breakout team also partnered early with us on an improved mobile Account Linking flow, with seamless in-app linking that boosted conversion.

Results include faster squad formation, more cross-platform messaging between sessions, and increased activity on Arena Breakout's official Discord server, blurring the line between in-game play and community engagement. Looking ahead, Tencent plans to pair Discord's social features with limited-time in-game events to deepen player understanding and engagement.

Scopely | Marvel Strike Force

The Marvel Strike Force team at Scopely worked with Discord to bring Discord-powered social features to the popular turn-based character collection RPG. Partnering with Discord provided Marvel Strike Force players with a robust platform for communication, alliance management, and social interaction, while enhancing community engagement through dedicated channels for customer support and community management.

Live since late last year, the integration has driven immediate account linking among new players, fast alliance channel creation, and positive community sentiment—players mainly wished it had launched sooner.

Tencent | Delta Force

Delta Force, Tencent's cross-platform tactical extraction shooter, built its Discord strategy on a simple belief: player culture deserves a home, not just a channel list. After growing its official Discord community into a co-created, player-driven ecosystem, Tencent went further by integrating the Discord Social SDK — starting with Account Linking and the Unified Friends List — to dissolve the line between playing the game and belonging to its community.

The real breakthrough came by replacing browser redirects and manual logins with single-tap Mobile Account Linking, Tencent removed the friction that mobile players are least forgiving of, driving smoother onboarding and stronger campaign activation. The payoff shows up in squad formation, in community-driven content like the Delta Force 2025 Recap, and in a roadmap that now includes Discord discoverability and Rich Presence invites. This case study breaks down how Tencent did it and what's next.

Ninja Kiwi | Bloons Tower Defense 6

Bloons TD 6 laid the foundation for great social experiences integrating the Discord Social SDK back in June. They enabled Account Linking, a Unified Friends List, and Game Invites to let players connect with their Discord friends more easily.

Those social connections paved the way for their newest update: the Bloons TD 6 Shop on Discord. Ninja Kiwi used Discord Social Commerce to make it possible for players to browse, buy, and gift in-game items directly in Discord. They even delighted their players with a special launch discount and exclusive Wumpus Pet to celebrate. We can’t wait to see players gift their favorite monkeys and in-game items directly to their friends on Discord through this new experience!

Check out the official Ninja Kiwi server on Discord to see their shop in action.

Moving in on Mobile

Making mobile platform support generally available is more than just ensuring it works on the leading mobile platforms. We've shipped a minimal setup for Rich Presence for Android, streamlined Account Linking with deeplink support, and brought Commerce to mobile—tailor-made solutions specific to how people play on smaller screens. We’ve already seen how studios put these solutions to work: Arena Breakout swapped browser-based linking for seamless in-app flow and watched squad formation speed up. Marvel Strike Force turned Account Linking into instant alliance-building, with dedicated channels powering community management from day one. Delta Force went all-in on single-tap mobile Account Linking to reduce onboarding friction, with Rich Presence, Game Invites already on the roadmap. And Bloons TD 6 took it further still, launching a full in-Discord shop (complete with a launch discount and exclusive Wumpus pet!) built on the social foundation Account Linking and a Unified Friends List provided.
